Matt Biggs, Preconstruction Director at Earthscapes, was born and raised in Nebraska. After graduating from the University of Nebraska, Matt worked for more than 10 years in the golf course construction industry where he specialized in irrigation systems. That role led him to a management position in the Pacific Southwest where he gained experience until he eventually decided to settle in Phoenix.
Matt joined the Earthscapes team as estimator in 2013, bringing his field experience to bidding projects. In his current role as Preconstruction Director, Matt uses his more than 25 years of experience leading Earthscapes preconstruction efforts for a large variety of commercial projects ranging from small site projects to parks to sports fields.
Matt also manages the growing Earthscapes estimating team and coaches them to give Earthscapes clients a fantastic experience and product they can all be proud of. Matt says, “To me, landscape construction is a way to provide meaningful and enjoyable outdoor spaces for the public to enjoy. My favorite part of my role is helping make our customers’ vision a reality even if they’re faced with budget limitations. Stretching the dollar without sacrificing quality is important in today’s construction market. I enjoy working at Earthscapes because I have the pleasure of working with a great team dedicated to their craft and to quality work.”
In his free time, Matt likes to golf, hunt, and spend time with his wife and two children.
